Sure she maybe more popular for plunging necklines and kissing her co-stars senseless but Mallika is now ready to step into Madhubala's shoes for her soon to be released comedy film Sanjay Chhel's 'Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam.'

And apart from the name that Chhel's film shares with the yester-year hit, the sexy seductress will be seen paying an ode of sorts to veteran actress Madhubala in the song 'Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya' which is a part of Chhel's comedy. But before any sentiments get hurt, the composer of the song Anu Malik says that this new version is in a completely different format.

"The song Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya is one of the greatest songs in the history of Indian films. No one can ever make such a beautiful song nor can anyone copy Madhubala or even forget her performance in the song," he says.

'Maan Gaye Mughal-E-Azam' is a story of a theatre group and how they deal with the difficulties that they come across while performing a play and in their own way the theatre group actors also have a message for the nation.
