There’s no denying Jay Sean’s success with his single ‘Ride It’ and now he’s set to release his second single ‘Maybe’ along with a spankin’ new video. Lucky for all you Jay Sean fans out there, we’ve got some exclusive behind the scenes shots and the inside info from Jay himself.

Get this – Not only did Jay shoot the video for ‘Maybe,’ he also shot the video for the third single, ‘Stay.’ Both videos were directed by Hey Buddy who also did the ‘Ride It’ video, so we can expect the same slick look. The videos were shot in a swanky basement apartment in London’s Brick Lane and Jay tells us the vibe was “sexy, classy, funky and trendy” with just Jay and his leading lady appearing in the video. Maybe the “sexy and trendy” aspects come from the styling which was done entirely by the D&G clothing line. The video for ‘Maybe’ gives us a perspective of Jay taking part in a photo shoot with his mind wandering on the main girl, hence the lyrics. The track itself is an up-tempo, feel good record that stays current to the times we’re living in, by discussing relationships in a society dominated by the internet revolution.

Next on the agenda was the emotional ‘Stay,’ which is also Jay’s favorite track on the album. Jay says ‘Stay’ was the most demanding video he’s ever had to shoot. “You’ll get to see a side of me you’ve never seen…it’s all about real life relationships,” said Jay. Desi Hits! came to know that there’s a very special leading lady in the video… Now we don’t want to tease you but we can’t reveal who it is just yet so you’ll have to keep it locked to find out.

So since we had the chance to chat to Jay we wanted to know exactly what was going on in his mind at this moment. With all the success he’s had with ‘Ride It’ is he the least bit nervous about the second single and the subsequent release of the album? Jay tells us he’s not… “I don’t chase chart positions.” While Jay may not be chasing them they seem to be delivering results, because all that attention is earning Jay meetings with major labels in the US for potential album distribution.

With the video for ‘Maybe’ releasing in the next few weeks and the album, ‘My Own Way’ hitting us in April, the highs of Jay’s career are looking limitless.
