Mika Singh is one of Bhangra's hottest names at the moment and he's known to be a real crowd pleaser at his many live shows.  Mika is all set to hit the stage in NYC tonight at the China Club (formerly known as Opera).  While Mika is in town we sat down with the star, asked him a few questions and got some pretty surprising answers. 

By now many people may know that Bhangra star Daler Mehndi is actually Mika's older brother, and Mika tells us Daler had a major influence in his musical career.  Plus he says he also respects artists like, Gurdas Mann and Malkit Singh.  But here comes the surprising part - Mika says he loves rap, mainly late, great rapper, Tupac Shakur.  Okay, that may not sound so surprising, but there's more.  Mika says he thinks Bhangra and rap are very similar and he even rapped for us!  Now how cool is that?  Maybe he's taking cues from Punjabi rapper, Bohemia!  He went on to say he wished he could have collaborated with Tupac, and he hopes to collaborate with 50 Cent in the future.Can you imagine what that would sound like?
