The film begins with Shahid Kapur, who is fed up with things perpetually going wrong in his life, boarding a random train at Mumbai's biggest railway station. His co-passenger happens to be an extremely noisy Sikhni from Bhatinda – Kareena - who is on her way to Manali to elope with her non-Sikh boyfriend. The story picks up when Kareena steps off the train to go in search of Shahid who has gotten off for a few minutes at a station and as a result both of them miss their train. And therefore Shahid is given the duty of getting Kareena to her boyfriend. It is through this journey that two completely opposite characters become really good friends. However, the twist in the tale comes once Shahid drops Kareena to her desired destination – Manali – and returns to Mumbai. Like all B-Town romeos Shahid is unable to forget his train friend and just when he is in the midst of remembering the good ol'times Kareena's family comes to his doorstep looking for their daughter – who they think has runaway with Shahid and hasn't been in touch with them for 9 months now. Completely taken aback with what is happening Shahid promises to bring their daughter with him to Bhatinda in 10 days time and the rest of the film is about his search for Kareena, the truth and what happens once he actually finds his lost friend!

'Jab We Met' doesn't give you anything original or something you haven't seen before but having said that it is a good film if you are looking to have a laugh. Leave your brains at home for this one and you will be fine…. But if you are looking for stellar direction and earth shattering acting then you will be disappointed.
