LCMD is all about how the elder daughter of a family succumbs to prostitution to help support her poor family. Set in Benara, the film begins with the Sahay family comprised of Anupam, Jaya, Rani and Konkona. As times get tough, Rani leaves for Mumbai lying to her family that has a got a job offer there. However, in the attempt to secure one once in the city, Rani ends up sleeping with a prospective employer. Yet, the job doesn't work out and the incident turns Rani into a high society escort girl called Natasha. Raking in the dough Rani helps support her family but the actual twist in the tale comes when Konkona who secures a job herself in Mumbai reaches the city and finds out about Rani's dual life just when Konkona has found herself a Prince Charming.

The film is a must watch for those who like intelligent cinema and those who are Rani's fans. The actress shines out in the film and leaves even stalwarts like Jaya and Anupam far behind. It does move you at various levels and leaves you thinking about it well after you have left the cinema theatre!
