New Jay Sean Song featuring Lil' Wayne Called 'Down'

We warned you! We warned you all! It was only a matter of time that Cash Money Records was going to make sure Jay Sean was going to get the proper shine that he deserved! The first step was Birdman's first single "Written on Her" which he is featured. Now, they had to get the biggest name in hip-hop right now alongside him for his newest single "Down." Who you might ask? None other than rap phenomenon and Cash Money Records label mate Lil' Wayne!
Jay Sean sounds like he was flat out focused for this song. The beat was thumping, the hook is catchy, and of course, you got Lil' Wayne rapping 16 bars showing everyone why his self-proclaimed status as the "Best Rapper Alive" is legit. There is no way anyone can sit back and say that this song will not become a hit. Even the biggest Jay Sean haters (and we know you're out there) have to listen to this and say "I can't even hate on him, this song is amazing!" The best thing about this song is that it is out just in time for the summer. Is this going to be an early contender for the Summer Anthem of 2009? We'll leave that up to you to decide. Hopefully there's a top notch music video on the way for this!

Desi Hits.....get off Jay Sean's dick! Aren't media folks supposed to be unbiased and let the readers decide whether the song is good or not? This song is garbage. Watch me get dismissed as a hater now, just for speaking the truth. The beat is average. The lyrics are tired cliches. The melodies are unoriginal. Weezy's verse is straight wackness. Even if this were a decent modern R&B artist, like say, Ne-Yo, it would still be a horrible track. And this is a single? Man, this shouldn't even be album filler. At best it's a B-Side. Everything about this song = EPIC, EPIC FAIL. It's just a crap song and if I ever hear it again, that'll be too soon.

I like Jay Maybe was my song. Not convinced with the clip but I'm sure once everyone hears the song a few times and watches the video this song will be a hit. Not really feelin lil wayne. It's a big thing Jay has collaborated with weezy but in America everybody has collaborated with him so it's not that big for the mainstream.

Are there any Jay Sean haters out there? For a desi guy from Southall to go out to America and make it like he is on the verge of making it has to be respected. The floodgates are open. Jay + L'il Wayne shud now do a whole album together coz "Down" is brilliant =D .. i kinda feel tht the beats of this song r slightly faster than most of Jay's earlier work nd so gives his voice somethin of a freshness which is definately gr8 .. i cud b wrong tho!
iv been replayin the song since last night. its siiick. at first i wasnt that impressed with the snippet but the whole song including waynes verse are off the hook
