Team India works hard and everyone seems to be taking notice of the cute fresh faced men that make up this unstoppable force. That's why Nike wanted a piece of the action and decided to create a new jersey for the team.
The cricket team you know and love will be sporting a new color. It's a darker shade of blue with strategically placed bits of orange. When Nike makes something, they make sure it stands out.
The head of marketing at Nike India Sanjay Gangopadhyay took this project seriously. He told sources that "It took 18 months in the making; blue is ingrained in the Indian psyche when it comes to sport. This left Nike with no option when it came to the fundamental color of the jersey, but they believed change was needed." Indeed the new colors seem to be a beautiful choice for the players.
He continued to say that "There's a boldness and aggression to this much younger team...The darker colour represents this. And when we did research into sports teams around the world, we kept coming up on red and orange as the colors that represented boldness." According to Sanjay Gangopadhyay, the orange that is also included in the jersey "heightens the streak of boldness...It sounds easy-put a full mesh on the back of the shirt, but believe me, it's not...We have to stick within ICC regulations and to get the name and number on the back of the shirt through a heat transfer on mesh was technologically challenging. It took us months to crack that problem."
Well, we're certainly glad they did because the team looks great. So check out the pictures and let us know what you think. Do you like the new colors or did you like the old ones better?

Dinesh Kartik, 2nd from left is my homeboy. we grew up together and played together! Big ups my man!
well looks like a good jersey but it doesn't play a good roll in front of the old sky blue. since Indian team lost its identity As Sri Lanka lost their identity in Twenty 20 World Cup 2007. Now Indian Jersy looks like Sri Lankan Jersey.
