Anand Jon, the Indian-born designer, who’s a fashion superstar back home, has been accused of rape! He’s been arrested on charges of rape and 'forcible copulation' by Beverly Hills police earlier this month. The fashionable playboy has been accused of two counts of forcible rape and 'sexual battery by restraint, attempted forcible oral copulation and two counts of committing a lewd act upon a child’ (15 yrs old). Jon allegedly committed a series of shocking acts with four victims between October 2006 and March 2007 and the arrest was made after one of the victims came forward to lodge a complaint. In their investigation, the police identified three 'potential victims' and the youngest of them is a fifteen year-old girl. Here’s what his lawyer had to say…"(What) is going on here is these girls fly in for model jobs after months of dialogue filled with flirtation, they have sexual interaction and if he doesn't put them in the show ... then some time later they claim they had unwanted sex." Hmmm, really ALL of them?! In the US everyone is innocent until proven guilty so DesiHits! will reserve judgement! Our desi brother had everything going for him...just this year, Newsweek named him a person to watch. He also has made several appearances on Tyra Banks' modeling competition "America's Next Top Model. Fast forward a couple of short, party filled months, he’s now currently jailed in Los Angeles County prison and will appear in court on April 4. In 2004, Jon was listed in the top seventy-five designers in the world and his hand-painted Medusa Jeans fetched $720. Anand is an acquaintance of socialite Paris Hilton, pop singer Paula Abdul and actress Michelle Rodriguez. Jon was also set to do a reality show based on his life as a top designer for VH1…fans, don’t hold your breath! If he’s found guilty he could get deported back to the motherland....I suppose India could jump on the reality TV bandwagon and film a show about his life behind bars…we’ll keep you posted on how this unfolds!
