Our sources tell us, Bollywood royalty, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have sent out invites for their private wedding this month. The hype is escalating and this is no longer likely to say under wraps! Desi Hits! has been reporting for weeks that the couple will wed in a small private ceremony on April 20th at the family Bachchan home (a stark contrast to the 6 day production Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar put on!) in suburban Mumbai, but the family has kept hush. The wedding invitations were sent to a select few...the oh so lucky attendees will include industrialist Anil Ambani and his wife, Tina, filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Anupam Kher. The card, embossed with two entwined “A”s and delivered with a box of chocolate meringues, also invited guests to a pre-wedding party on April 18th. This is also rumored to be the same date that Salman and Katrina are getting hitched…if this is true, April is likely to be a very busy month for the hijras of Mumbai!!! Included in the card was a poem on new beginnings by Abishek’s grandfather and renowned poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who died in 2003.
