She's the host of the sexiest show on Desi Hits! - Girl's Night In... Hailing from the UK, Manjit started her music career amidst London’s vibrant underground club scene. Taking influences from the cosmopolitan city and her Indian culture, Manjit moved to New York to further develop her unique sound and career. An incredibly talented and self taught singer-songwriter and producer, she draws her inspiration from life itself and is influenced by legends such as Stevie Wonder, Sade, Desree, India Arie and Anita Baker. As a result, her assured soulful sound fuses real songwriting with urban and Indian influences.

Performing a number of live acoustic sets and featuring on various mixtapes, Manjit is becoming a regular on New York’s music scene and has been receiving great appreciation for her work. Her credits include headlining several high profile events for acclaimed music, business and fashion companies and celebrities such as Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Christy Turlington, Microsoft and The Bollywood Awards. Manjit also had the pleasure of working with Stuart Matthewman of Sade to promote his ‘Cottonbelly’ album, on which she is also a featured artist. Her list of collaborations also includes Jay-Z, Yoko Ono, Fanatic (Beyonce, Michael Jackson), Ruckus (Janet Jackson) and Aurellius Seven (Ashanti, Mary J Blige).

Manjit brings a refreshing and laid-back new edge sound to soulful music, distinguished by her spiritual compass, she embraces her passions and is influenced by her culture:
“My music definitely has a spiritual and sensual thread throughout its sound. The writing is very autobiographical and deals with the emotions and struggles that we all go through, no matter what our backgrounds. It’s important to me as an artist that I share the essence and beauty of my heritage with today’s world.”
Of Punjabi (east Indian) descent, her talent lends itself to not only singing in English and Hindi, but also acting.

Manjit is currently writing and producing her debut solo album “BE THE WOMAN” while also performing with her band, and showcasing her intimate acoustic set in New York City.
