Aadil is still a hard working club and radio DJ and has been since the age of 15. Every Friday and Saturday night he can be seen spinning in one of his long established residencies in the UK. He started on Radio with the BBC in his native Kent where he started off presenting a Club music show and during a successful career that spanned 13 years with the BBC from 1987 – 2000 he had presented the Breakfast Show, Drive Time, Sports Phone Ins, News Programmes, Children In Need TV programmes and lastly the Asian Programme “Looking East”. He was also the first person in the UK to establish the first Asian sitcom on radio called “Garam Masala” which he produced and arranged for BBC Radio Kent 5 years before “Goodness Gracious Me” hit our screens on BBC TV.

He also has a hugely successful career in the UK mainstream music industry since 1988 when he began his career as an A&R man at Arista Records in London. There he signed and worked with many artists including Snap, Alison Limerick, Lisa Stansfield and Whitney Houston to name but a few. His industry career covered many companies from Arista to the Ministry of Sound. Working with many artists ranging from Dance legend Todd Terry to the Spice Girls. Being an A&R man (actually signing the talent and delivering it to the mass public), to head of promotions, marketing and ultimately owning his own label A&R Records whereupon he signed and delivered the World’s first true Indian Pop Star Raghav.

About to unleash all his contacts into the World of Desihits through his unrivalled relationships with producers, managers and artists in general, Aadil prides himself in being able to spot a hit artist and help to deliver them. As a DJ he has done this and holds the distinction of having played to over 4 million people in clubs during his illustrious career to date.
