'Sadhu - the Movement' is definitely shakin' the ground!

February 05 2007 20:00 PST

Desi Hits! has got the globe covered!!!! Fusing Reggae, Ragamuffin, Hip Hop and Bhangra, Apache Indian (a.k.a AI) has quickly catapulted globally, thus creating a new market for the music world to explore! The album 'Sadhu - the Movement,' offers a variety of music, appropriately balancing the best of ALL genres. From heavy bass dance floor tracks to spiritual iskonic music (that's absolutely correct....Hare Krishna Hare Ram refixed!). A collaboration with the sizzling Sunidhi Chauhane on the track 'Sona Munda' makes this compilation much MORE than its worth. His lyrics are inspired by his personal quest to define his identity in a multicultural world where traditional definitions of religion and culture have to be re-evaluated. And if you think AI sang only in reggae style English, think again! We also hear a bit of his punjabi accent...its quite funny...really! If truth be told, it stupefies Desi Hits! how AI has the ability to unite all his influences into 1 album. 'Sadhu - the Movement' truly embodies a musical magician at his best...it's no wonder he has sold 11 million copies during his career.
