Sexy Shamita Singha is mostly known for her beauty pageant and modeling career. Now we here at Desi Hits want you to hear about a side you may not know that takes you into a more intimate side of the former beauty queen. Shamita was kind enough to host a Models Rock wine tasting party earlier this weekend which took place in Henry Tham, Colaba, Mumbai.

The former model and VJ host for B4U Music, anchor and animal rights and vegetarian activist hosted a party that was out of this world! Boys, be jealous, because you missed out on all the gorgeous ladies that were at the event which included everyone from Mashoom, Deepti Gauri, and Carol Gracias and many more. Shamita is known for her glamorous career which includes such honors as Miss India Earth 2001. Not many people know is that she is a wine connoisseur. She recently said of New World versus European wines that "New world wines are taking up wines more but than the European wines as they are cheaper, freely available and marketed well. That's the reason they are doing better than European wines. European wines are preferable because they are made in the old styles."

Shamita undoubtedly showcased her knowledge at her private party on Friday night where everyone, both experts and beginners alike smiled as they swirled, sniffed, and tried the different wines courtesy of Shamita. We're sure that her knowledge of wines made the tasting a quick success and that no one was disappointed when they headed home after the lovely evening.
