Even though it’s been a massive year in terms of popularity for B-Town babe Shilpa Shetty she’s lost NDTV’s ‘Indian of the Year’ award to another South Indian star, Rajnikanth! What did Rajni do to deserve the award? Well he had a huge hit flick, ‘Sivaji’ while Shilpa made her presence felt in ‘Big Brother,’ ‘Miss Bollywood,’ not to mention that whole Richard Gere kiss scandal.

Shilpa’s publicist Dale Bhagwagar said, "Shilpa has only been an achiever, while Rajnikanth has been a great performer. Shilpa has emerged the most famous Indian in UK. Hopefully, India will reward her for this accomplishment in future." Guess we’ll have to wait until next year to find out! But we want to know... Did the right person win the award?
