There's nothing like a party to boost a sports team's confidence. Well, the Rajasthan Royals color maybe blue, but part owner of the team Shilpa Shetty was all in gold when she hosted a pre-Holi party for them this past weekend.

Shilpa Shetty has been under some stress over her team, "There was talk...that the IPL season II might not happen. That would have been terrible, not just for the franchise owners, but also for the cricket fans all over India and the world 'cause everyone's looking forward to this season...I'm glad that the games are happening at last and it would still live up to people's expectations and more. Can't wait for the IPL to kick start...It's sad that we're not going to be able to play in Jaipur, which happens to be our home ground, but would like our Rajasthan fans to know that it was a decision that wasn't left to us to take. We are just complying with the decision obviously that has been taken by the IPL board, the BCCI and obviously with the advice of the home ministry and State Government. So I guess what cannot be cured has to be endured and we're doing just that... I am in Jaipur at the moment shooting for my music video for Rajasthan Royals. It's going to be an anthem that people are going to love. It's called "HALLA BOL" and it's something that has been made with a lot of love. It's sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Anand Raaj Anand...composed by Anand Raaj Anand... directed by Ken Ghosh and choreographed by Ahmed Khan." she wrote in her blog recently.

The awesome party Shilpa Shetty and her boyfriend Raj Kundra threw, took place in the Hotel Jai Mahal Palace. It was a laid back affair with music and drinks adding to the informality of the evening. The guest list included Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh and wife Rukmini Devi, Hrithik Roshan, Bina Kak, Ankur Kak, Manoj Badale and Bobby Bedi.

Everyone seemed to wear clothes that were a little dressier than the atmosphere the party took on. Shilpa Shetty probably had the party to boost the spirits of the team and her own. We have some pictures from the event. Check them out and tell us what you think about the party and the team.
