For those of you who may not be in the know the star studded annual award show that is known as Filmfare took place in Bollywood this past weekend and anyone who's anyone in the Mumbai movie scene was there to celebrate!  With gorgeous Bollywood women dressed to impressed, leading men looking quite dapper and tons of hot performances, it's kind of easy to forget the main aspect of the night - the awards! 

All right so by now you've probably heard 'Jodhaa Akbhar' the epic love story starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.  Okay, so while we're not saying it wasn't a well deserved award, it did get us thinking - should the film that had everyone in Bollywood and beyond buzzing and later laughing have gotten more recognition? 

We're talking about the laugh out loud comedy flick, 'Dostana' starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra (who took home the best actress trophy for 'Fashion'). 

The film was a major hit and most people interviewed soon after watching it were raving about the awesome comedic timing, funny storyline and oh yeah, sexy swimsuit and underwear scenes courtesy of John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra. 

In fact, I remember watching it three weeks after its release and the theatre was full to capacity!  With that in mind, the film did have a great run at the box office.

So while we're not necessarily saying it should have won best picture or anything, we do wonder, should it have gotten more recognition at the award show?  We bet if we polled the thousands of girls who loved seeing John Abraham in next to nothing, they would think so! 

Maybe this is just a case of a highly commercial film not striking big at an award show.  Hey, it happens at the Academy Awards in Hollywood all the time!
