The music fraternity is stepping in and offering advice to Britney as she attempts to regain control of her life. American Idol Judge Simon Cowell has reportedly urged the 'Piece of Me' singer to "stop being stupid" and face up to real life.

Quite a harsh bit of advice Simon! But then again it is Simon so what do you expect! Cowell says that he feels that the former mouseketeer needs to put her problems into perspective and realize she is luckier than many people around the world. And with the fortune that she’s amassed so far he’s sure right about that!

He said "I do feel bad for Britney. But having said that, then I see the real world where people really are struggling - haven't got enough money, haven't got enough whatever - and you have to temper that with, 'Stop being stupid, go home. Life ain't that bad."

Cowell also laments the fact that Spears lacks ‘life guidance’ and feels that she should stay out of the spotlight for a while until she can firmly stand on her two feet again. He does however wish that someone would have taken the initiative to advise her on her wrong-doings and make her aware of the harm she’s done to herself and her kids and put an end to it.
