'So You Think You Can Dance' to Bollywood Music?

So You Think You Can Dance goes Bollywood! The world is standing up and taking note... fusion flavas are taking over, and on last night's episode of Season 4 of the US version of the show, Katee and Joshua performed a Bollywood dance to Dhoom Taana, from Shah Rukh Khan's flick, Om Shanti Om! There's no doubt they killed it, and everyone was full of praise for the choreographer, Nakul Dev Mahajan. And the SYTYCD judges said what we've been saying all along, Bollywood and Hip Hop fusion is hot! Watch the video below and drop us a comment on what you thought of the dance!

damn!!!! they were toooo goodd... trust me they dance better than bollywood artist.... AWESOME GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!!!!!!!! THE ORGANISERS SHOUD PUT MORE OF THEM ON TV.....

Wow, amazing and beautiful, these are truly skilled dancers..I am so impressed...only thing is, there was no true "hip-hop" in the piece (although that one judge talked about it), and there was no mention of the bhangra elements, but at least everyone appreciated and enjoyed it.... bollywoodfunknyc.com

What's best about these couples is that he's a black Popping/Boogaloo dancers and she's a Japanese contemporary dancer. It's incredible that they brought Bollywood dancing to life. I don't think any Indian dancers could nail that routine as good as them.

I think they did an awesome job, especially since they were totally unfamiliar with Bollywood dance or any Indian cinema. I just wish the judges knew more about the genre so they could credibly critique Bollywood dance! They didn't even really know it was fusion...thought it was traditional, cultural dance.
