In the flick 'Strangers,' actress Sonali Kulkarni who is normally known for her simple plain Jane roles has shed her inhibition and has dared to shoot semi nude in a bath tub!

She now joins the infamous gang of B-Town damsels like Mallika Sherawat, Neha Dhupia & Kareena Kapoor's controversial backless shots in their respective films. According to a sources in the Strangers unit, director Anand Rai felt that it was a very emotional scene in a bath tub and it was essential for the scene to be shot.

He had also informed Sonali about the semi- nude scene since it was an integral part of the film. Initially he was a bit apprehensive if Sonali would do the scene but to his surprise she was cool about it. Now whether Sonali is able to pull off the scene is something only time will tell but we're still not totally convinced with the director's statement about it being an essential part of the film!
