Us here at DesiHits! would like to wish legendary singer Sonu Nigam a happy 36th birthday.  Born on July 30, 1973 in Faridabad, Hariyana, the singer with the one of a kind voice has graced us with his vocal abilities from a very young age.

At the age of 19 he moved to Mumbai with his family to start a career in  Bollywood. His first big break was with T-series as well as recording for the “Rafi ki Yaadein” album.

A few years later, in 1995, Sonu was given the opportunity to sing “Accha Sila Diya” for Bewafa Sanam and in 1997 he composed “Sandese Aate Hain” for the film “Border,’ wholly captivating all his listeners.

After making major waves on the music scene with a stream of mega-hits, Sonu won two awards for the track “Kal Ho Naa Ho” from Filmfare and the National Film Awards, both for Best Male Playback Singer .

Although it has already been quite an amazing time being entertained and seranaded by Sonu since he first appeared on the scene, we are sure he will continue to make amazing achievements in his field and that the best is yet to come from the talented performer.
