As a celebrity, you have to get used to adoring fans – the “marry me” shouts, the screaming girls, the homosexual advances...wait, I think we crossed a line just now.

Maybe Sonu Nigam has a right to be mad. The honey-voiced Bollywood singer alleged that Subhash K Jha, a renowned film journalist, harassed him with sexual advances after getting drunk and even sent him untoward text messages. Sonu tried to explain that this was inappropriate as Subhash is both his elder and a friend of Lata. Not to mention – Sonu doesn’t swing that way. This didn’t stop Subhash from asking for Sonu’s hand in marriage.

Don’t get excited – there’s no shaadi on its way. Sonu, once again, explained that he was not gay and even mentioned his girlfriends to the persistent reporter.

A rebuffed Subhash reportedly blew nasty rumors about Sonu in the media when he realized that Sonu wasn’t just being coy, fully crossing the line from “creepy fan” to “all kinds of wrong.”

Sorry, Sonu – not everything in life can be a Bollywood movie. But you gotta admit, this ordeal would make a pretty interesting one…
