If Tanushree Dutta hadn't won the Miss India title and if Bollywood hadn’t happened, the actress says she would have enlisted in the army.  Perhaps that explains the reason why she has waged a war with several people in the film industry, recently. She’s accused Nana Patekar of indecent behavior on the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleassse’ and director Rakesh Sarang of forcing her to do a dance step she was uncomfortable with. She also claims that the director of her film ‘Saas Bahu aur Sensex’, Shona Urvashi, gave her a hard time while shooting.

"I don't think that just because I am an actress, I need to please everybody. I can't be Miss Congeniality. If I don't get my space and the respect, I will bloody well demand it. You can't mess with me," remarks Tanushree, who lost out on the case filed with CINTAA against Nana Patekar and Rakesh Sarang.

 "I'm hurt. During the hearing of the case, my dad made a valid point. He said, 'For male actors, you change scripts, dialogues and even the movie. How difficult it is to change a dance step if the female artist is not comfortable doing it?' The answer that we got was, 'If it was for Amitabh Bachchan, we would have changed the entire film'. I was shocked”, says the actress. 

Tanushree promises to be pickier about who she works with in the future.  "New directors go to any extent to get publicity and the best way is to have a fight with the star. Shona did the same. I will never again work with her. Now I won't allow any Tom, Dick and Harry to approach me with a script. I want to be associated only with a select few people".

Tanushree rues the fact that people equate a woman's sex appeal to her lack of brains. "Just because I've done bold scenes in films you can't assume that I'm a dim-witted blonde.  I'm probably far more educated and well read then most of the industry”.

Isn't the actress scared that being so blunt will make her seem like a difficult person to work with? "People who have worked with me in the past, know who I am”, she claims. “The others can very well stay away. These eight months have been unlucky but then I have had nice experiences working on twelve other films in the past”. 

Tanushree is banking on ‘Run Bola Run’ and ‘Rama the Saviour’ in which she has done a lot of action scenes. "Henceforth, people will see me doing a lot of unusual roles. I'm in the mood to experiment," she says. Tanushree also says that doesn't care if the movies don't pay off at the box office. "I enjoyed doing them," she signs off.
