Ok we understand B-Town actors competing with one another over maximum hits every year or bagging maximum awards but don't you think it's a bit silly when the amount of advance tax paid by you also becomes a factor of competition?!

It seems King Khan has set yet another record this time in the tax department by coughing up Rs 27 crore in December 2007 as advance tax which would basically mean that his income for the year would be close to Rs 150 crore. Akshay Kumar, who has given four hits in a row this year, is in second place with an advance tax payment amounting to about Rs. 7 crores while the Bachchans are in third, fourth and fifth place with Big B signing away Rs 1.8 crore, son Abhishek has submitted 3.7 crore and the daughter-in-law Rs 1.6 crore.

But the most mind boggling number belonged to Hrithik Roshan who had no release in all of 2007 paid an advance tax of Rs. 15 crore… how come? Thanks to all the nice endorsements! Alright… we have just one question to ask…. If the advance tax is so much then how much tax will they be actually paying at the end of the financial year in March '08?!!
