Well, well, well! Desis are taking over American television! We got news that National Geographic recently bought the rights to four songs from Canadian trio The Bilz and Kashif’s debut album "The Bilz" and the network will feature the tracks on the U.S. TV series The Music Nomad.
The episode on India, which talks about influences of Indian music around the world, will play "Dil Lai Lai," "Mehendi," "Ban Thanke" and "Balle Balle."
Wow! It must feel great to have your tracks featured on such a well-known network. DesiHits.com talked to The Bilz about their new venture and they had this to say:
"The past summer has been an incredible journey in our career and has taken us all over the world to connect with our fans on many different levels - be it our performances to hearing our records in movies and television shows. The momentum is fierce, and we expect the rest of 2009 into 2010 to be just as exciting with the release of "Against All Odds" and the album "Breaking All Barriers."
How exciting! So listen to the four tracks below and let us know what you think.
