The DLF Indian Premier League released their match schedule for their second season which begins airing on April 10th 2009.

The first match will be hosted by last year's winners the Rajasthan Royals and will open with a ceremony and an inaugural match. The match will be between the returning Rajasthan Royals and the Delhi Daredevils.

The Chairman and Commissioner of the league Lalit Modi had this to say regarding the beginning of a new season. ""I am happy to announce the schedule for the season II of the DLF Indian Premier league with the opening ceremony & the inaugural match in the pink city, home of the defending Champions the Rajasthan Royals. Jaipur has always been close to my heart and I promise the people of Jaipur - an opening ceremony the likes of which has not been witnessed in India ever before with some truly world class entertainment."

The semi-finals of the season will commence on Thursday May 21st and Friday May 22nd.  They'll take place at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk.

The final game will be in the wonderful city of Mumbai on Sunday May 24th 2009.

The Hyderabad Deccan Chargers have chosen to play their home games in two separate places. One location being the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium and the other being ACA and VDCA Stadium at Visakhapatnam.

The all day matches will start at 4 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. and all night matches will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
