The UK Asian Music Awards Are Back

It's that time of year again as the UK Asian Music Awards are planning for the show which will go down on March 5, 2009 at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London. But before the award show can even happen, on December 4th, the organizers of the show will be at London's hot spot, Aura to announce their plans for the show. The bash will be hosted by Neev from Kiss 100 with DJ Krash, DJ Kayper, DJ H and Desi Hits! very own Jags Klimax.
With 2008 being a massive year for Desi music and Desi Hits! included as we won for Best Website of 2008, this award show should be one to watch! The show promises to honor those who are already established in the scene as well as unsigned talent.
Voting will be open to the public on the official website, www.theukama.com starting December 5th.

Bohemia deserved it the most,he never won so if that pure talent doesnt get an award then to hell with these awards
why does it seem fixed? beacuse jay sean won? who else has no 1 on mainstream r&B chart and no 7 on the main album chart? hard Kaur had broken mainstream in Indis she has 10 bollywood blockbusters under her belt. I agree veronica has done jack! But many of the winners are really worthy. I have been a desi hits fan for a year and I love the fusion of east and west - I love that I can see what is going on in the desi world from london to Ny and back to bombay. I love that mainstream acts are finally opening their eyes to our desi talent and scene. Desi Hits is the ONLY place that has been a media outlet that has helped the scene by putting up new talent up as hosts. BBC is the same old shit with the same old presenters - i want new faces new voices, new dj's. I like bobby and nihal but do you see other scenes run by 2 presenters??? Hollywood and Bollywood is not run by 3 presenters - I think they have done a lot for the scene and there is a place for them of course - but move over and let some new people shine. i found Arun and P, DJ sachey, Jags klimax, ashanti and DJ nikki trix through desi hits - these are all new faces/voices. I love that sean kingston will work with DJ's from India because of desi hits! He owes them for that and many cases like this from what i hear. So yes desi hits should win the best website and the fact that those that hate are on this site says that they are just desis that hate because they are typical desis that dont want to see the scene move forward because if they did they would consume sites like DH but also support them. Other races stick together and support groups that help lift our talent out - we need this, not people that hate

desi hits WON last yr, and they have done too many big things this yr, so are def gona win!!! good lucks desi hits! and i hope jay sean wins, he deserves it, again, he done too many big things this yr also!!
