Just last week we reported that Lil Wayne was arrested, however, it looks like the baton has been passed on to yet another rapper! - T.I. The self-proclaimed "King of the South," was arrested on federal gun charges just hours before he was scheduled to perform at an award show.

It all went down in a federal sting over the weekend after his bodyguard-turned-informant delivered three machine guns and two silencers to the hip-hop star. And if that doesn’t sound bizarre enough the shocking part is T.I. gave the bodyguard $12,000 to buy the weapons!

Apparently T.I. was convicted on felony drug charges in 1998, and he has been arrested on gun charges in the past. Hmm… So Akon isn’t the only Konvict then! The hotel industry may soon be losing out on some millions as jail appears to be the more ‘ideal’ location for a weekend getaway.
