T.I. may be headed to prison soon, but he's going to make sure there's another album his fans can enjoy.  He is already in the early stages of work on his follow-up to his double platinum album 'Paper Trail.'

T.I. is scheduled to start serving his 366-day prison term beginning on May 19.  That would mean T.I. give or take a couple of weeks may be recording this album in about 2 months' time.  His approach to this album will be slightly different in comparison to how he approached the making of 'Paper Trail.'  Instead of fully writing everything down on paper, this time around some of the lyrics will not have to be penned.  Like other rap stars such as The Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-Z, some of T.I.'s material will completely improvised off of memory.  T.I. said this upcoming album will show a side of T.I. that is ready to move on rather than dwell on his past.

"It's about the celebration, putting these things behind me and moving forward," T.I. said. "Showcasing a new resilience, you know? Laughing in these suckers' faces. I'm going to get back to some of the old elements that put me on people's minds...I'm doing it half [freestyle] and half [written]...It depends on the type of record I'm doing. I have records now I did and I just went and did it like I used to, and I got some where I wrote it down. I'm not committing myself to one way or another. It'd have to be an infusion, just depending on what sort of album I want to make."

While there is no working title for this album, let alone a release date, to keep the fans appeased, T.I. is re-releasing 'Paper Trail' with five new songs added.  A couple of the songs can be found floating online, but they'll still be worth your while.  When he's not busy in the studio recording, he is still out there helping at risk kids from making the same mistakes he made, so he is absolutely using this time constructively.
