Timbaland Productions and Artists Puts on a Performance for Children in Mumbai

March 13 2009 18:30 PST

While "Slumdog Millionaire" may have been a fictional movie, Timbaland productions made a few dreams come true for some real life children that live in impoverished areas of India recently when  Jim Beanz performed for them. We don't know if the Timbaland production was inspired by the film, but it's great that they took some time out of their busy schedule to do something for those less fortunate.

Timbaland Productions brought smiles to the faces of the children, if only for a day. His Production crew got together with the Accorn Foundation and hosted a live gig for the children of Dharavi, Mumbai. And a few of your favorite artists showed up to show their support as well. Some of the artists who gave live performances at the event included Jim Beanz, Rebel of Timbaland Productions as well as Apache Indian and Amar. A local band named Sout Dandy Squad even had the chance to make it out for the event and perform for the kids.

They celebrated not only music, but also graffiti art and sculpture inside a local gym. We wanted you to check out some of the pictures from the live show that was just for the kids in Dharavi. Take a look and let us know what you think about Timbaland's good deed.
