No, rumor junkies, Lil Wayne is not dead! A bogus article surfaced Sunday night on the Internet stating that Lil Wayne was slain in a gang shooting. Fortunately for us, Weezy is still breathing, speaking on things like his new lip piercing and his excitement about Kanye West's '808s and Heartbreak' album. "Do I love the music that's out right now? I love it with a passion," says Wayne. "Does it motivate me? Not one bit, that's because '808s and Heartbreak' isn't out yet." Weezy is one of the few artists featured on the new album.
Next up... Police have confimed the death of Shakir Stewert, former Def Jam executive vice president. Stewert died from a self-inflicted gun wound. For those of you who enjoy artists like Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Young Jeezy, Stewart played a role in the jumpstart of their careers, along with filling the vacant seat left behind by Jay Z as president of Def Jam.
Rapper Lupe Fiasco is prepping for his third album, titled 'LupE.N.D.'. Lupe fans are disappointed in his decision to make this album his last. But, he still has one more trick up his sleeve...or should we say three! "That's 'LupE.N.D.', so, if my mathematics serves me correct from a fabulous Chicago public school system," said Lupe, "it's not one album, ladies and gentlemen, its three."
