With this year rapidly coming to a close, it's time to reflect back on 2008. With ramp walking divas, hot beach bods, and slimed down stars, this year has definitely been an eventful one! With that in mind I'll be bringing you the hottest recaps of the year with my top 5 picks for everything from hottest leading man, and best newcomers to hottest hook up! This time around I'm counting down my picks for the hottest leading men of the year!
5. Abhishek Bachchan: Abhishek Bachchan's first release of the year saw him paired opposite his wife Aishwarya Rai and his father Amitabh and with a strong performance garnered him much critical acclaim. While his second film of the year, 'Drona,' tanked, Abhishek Bachchan redeemed himself with the highly successful, 'Dostana,' with his hilarious portrayal of a man pretending to be gay. Then who can forget the highly successful Unforgettable Tour with his wife and father. There's no doubt Abhishek Bachchan has proved himself to be a top notch actor.
4. John Abraham: He only had one release this year with 'Dostana,' but oh what a release it was! There's not a person in Tinseltown that wasn't talking about John Abraham's oiled up six pack abs, tiny shorts and toned butt on display on the beaches of Miami for the ladies and some men to enjoy in 'Dostana'! Catcalls, whistles and cheers could be heard in cinema halls as John Abraham teased us as he pulled down his shorts. No doubt John Abraham cemented his status as the hottest hunk in Bollywood!
3. Aamir Khan: His one release of the year, 'Ghajini,' may have just hit theaters but the perfectionist Aamir Khan has been creating buzz throughout the year. Aamir Khan's home production, 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' which launched his nephew Imran Khan, turned out to be a major hit. Then attention shifted to Aamir Khan's eight pack abs as the trailers for 'Ghajini' hit screens. Initial reviews of the film are calling it a blockbuster and I'm pretty sure it will reign supreme at the box office.
2. Shahrukh Khan: After 2007's massively successful, 'Om Shanti Om,' Shahrukh Khan laid pretty low for most of 2008, that is until 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' was ready to be released! The media charmer went into overdrive as Shahrukh Khan promoted the Aditya Chopra directed film. With it, Shahrukh Khan proved that he still has what it takes as 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' shattered box office records in the first week taking& in 90 crores and people were won over by his simple character Surinder Sahni. Despite younger and hotter competition, Shahrukh Khan still holds on to his King Khan title!
1. Akshay Kumar: While Akshay Kumar's first release of the year, 'Taashan' was a major flop, he bounced back big! Akshay Kumar became the newly crowned Kinng of the box office with the monster hit, 'Singh is Kinng!' Akshay Kumar proved that you don't have to be a Khan to rule the box office as the film shattered records and sparked a phenomenon. It even shattered SRK's previous record of the biggest first week opening in Bollywood history with 'Om Shanti Om' and even though SRK regained the title with 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,' Akki's success is no small feat! The film also marked the first east meets west collaboration in Bollywood with the Snoop Dogg, RDB and Akshay Kumar together on the title track. Akshay Kumar's action, comedic timing, charisma and acting skills will definitely carry into 2009!

Just stop u guys...Akki is no.1 O.K. But SRK has overcome d stop he can't b rated through number game...he is just on top all d tme ..he is different from all...So all other bollywood actor fight for #1 spot....SRK no need ...to fight it out...his popularity all arround d world tells his story....He is also nominated as very First INDIAN SUPERSTAR to present an award at the prestigious GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD festival...he is among top 50 powerful people in the world...why any other bollywood actor made it...So no question onm SRk ....being No.1.....

How on earth Akshay became No.1? If not out of the list; he should be second from the last. Before SRK no one ever must be. He is born first as always because of his talent and hard work not just he SRK. His name comes with a brand!!! The only right sequence is from SRK to John. The other two may exchange. Where is Hrithic? I think, this where it went wrong.
I think SRk should be number 1. Adrian look at when this was written, it was BEFORE Ghajini came out dumbass.
This is stupid, Rab Ne is a bigger hit then SIK, and GHAJNI BEAT RAB NE. Also How can you compare Akshay kumar, with Amir Khan, Akshay cant come close to Amir. Sorry but the real list is AMIR KHAN number 1, Shahrukh Khan number 2, Then Akshay Kumar, then Hrthik Roshan. How the heck did flop King Abhishek beat out Hrthik? Jodhaa Akbar remember?
IF Akki and Aamir do 1000 Sing is King and Ghajani then also they wont be able to beat king khan. There is no akki and aamir in the list SRK is ranked himself 1to100. Followed by akki,aamir and .......
srk should totally be number one! I don't think Hrithik should be on it like some people are saying, all he came out with this year was jodhaa akbhar which wasn't even all that.

Cant overlook facts. SIK has broken all previous records, so Akshay is No 1.

Great. So Akshay has finally arrived:) With teh massive hit of Singh is King, he has really taken teh "King" title:) Would have been nice to see Hrithik in the list. But I guess he isnt doing enough films. But he has it in him to be No 1 one day.

SRK is too big for this list, he is the 41st most powerfull person in the world reconized worldwide, the promotion amir & akki are doing now, SRK is the one who taught them, OSO is the biggest blockbuster of all time, ghajini will start strong but it will soon fade out once the hype finishes, as for RNBDJ it will go on for a long time, making it the biggest blockbuster in history, RNBDJ had no promotion, critics never gave them a hope (what do they know) and now this film has broken world records just by word of mouth, just imagine if they promoted it like ghajini or sik and only SRK can get people in to cinemas after the dreadfull attacks, any other actor with whatever film releasing at that sombre and frightening time it would have been a major disaster, amir should be thanking SRK to get people back in cinemas and get there confidance back,SRK should be competing with worlds biggest celebraties his too big for bollywood.
I believe Aamir Khan must be on the top of the list as his performance was fantastic in the movie Ghajini. Shahrukh Khan must be on the second spot due to his new avtar and killing performance in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. On the third spot Hrithik Roshan must be placed on the third spot because the way he performed in Jodhaa Akbar is surely pleasing. Ashkay Kumar must be placed in #4th spot. He should not be placed in the number #1 spot because the storyline was crumbling to the fullest and the story did not made any sense. If Ashkay Kumar is wanted to be the king of Bollywood than he should have released his movie 'Chandni Chowk to China' in December 2008, not in January 2009, If he truly wanted to compete with the Khans of the film feternity. Last, but not least, John Abraham must be placed on list 5 but still he is emerging as a rising star who have greater capability to out compete other youngsters.

Akshay so deserves to be number one! Singh is Kinng broke records too and it's the highest grossing film at the box office ever, beating out SRK's Om Shanti Om, so don't even go there bluey. You so don't have to be a Khan to rule the box office, Akshay did it in Singh is Knng. People are so stupid sometimes
