'Star Trek' is a recognizable name around the world. Whether it brings up images of the movies or the TV Series, just about everyone knows something about the sci-fi plot that includes the characters James T. Kirk, Spock, and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy. The latest film adaptation is coming out this May and it seems like a version that will be a hit with fans and non-fans of the series everywhere.
Writer and producer J.J. Abrams is directing the sci-fi flick. J.J. Abrams is known for both his television and movies. For TV this list includes 'Lost', 'Fringe', and 'Alias' and for movies boasts 'Armageddon', 'Cloverfield', and 'Joy Ride'. His vision and talent made him the obvious choice for the 'Star Trek' movie.
The film has been in development stages since 2005 when Paramount Pictures approached J.J. Abrams and writers Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman. This rendition of the movies and series tells some of the back stories of the main characters of 'Star Trek' before they join together on the USS Enterprise. Roberto Orci didn't feel comfortable changing the original story as he thought it would be "disrespectful".
The movie looks action packed and full of beautiful filming and of course special effects. The actors for the 2009 version cast are Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Eric Bana, and Leonard Nimoy who was the original Spock from the Star Trek series in the sixties. It should be an interesting film if only for the cast as it joins together some new and seasoned talent.

Not everything has to be about Desi people. What Desi people don't care about Star Trek cause it's not directly related to their race?
