Hello out there in the great Twitterverse, we're about to start our first twitterview with Baba Kahn.
desihits: Baba! You ready bro! Got ten serious questions coming your way! BTW, "Bombay Bo" debuts on DesiHits.com tomorrow!

desihits: How long have you been Djing for and how long have you been throwing parties?
babakahn: I've been Djing and throwing parties for over 15 years
desihits: Was being South Asian an "obstacle" for you to be viewed as a credible player in the mainstream?
babkahn: HELL YEAH! It's been a struggle for sure. But I'd rather struggle for something I believe in and be poor than follow bs
desihits: Real talk sir...That being said, you have launched a ground-breaking series, "Culture Shock," that features Desi sounds and talent, what was your inspiration behind the "Culture Shock" series?
babakahn: I wanted to do something innovative that would stand the test of time and show North America the power of our South Asian community
desihits: following up on that, who's involved in this project with you?
babakahn: Part 1: Lomaticc & Sunny Brown are the focal point and I've based one disc solely on their music to showcase their talents.
desihits: What about in Part 2?
babakahn: Part 2: Disc one also includes Twista, Clipse, Sean Paul and some more surprises. Disc 2 is the Baba Kahn mix CD u get dj & Producer
desihits: That's dope! We're actually working on some stuff with Sean Paul, as you know ;)
babakahn: LOL...yup well AWARE Desihits-Baba Kahn-Sean Paul WHOOO HOOO How can you go WRONG;)
desihits: The beat for "Bombay Bo" is incredible, and the video captures that same "bounce" really well...is that your typical party?
babakahn: "Bombay Bo" is a party track and the only way to show that in real life was an event with my TRIO live no gimmicks just pure HEAT!
desihits: Yeah, people are gonna love seeing that video!
babakahn: A Baba Kahn party is always HYPE ;) NO OTHER WAY TO GO :) :)
desihits: Who's been your favorite guest performer? And give us an idea of your recent guests...
babakahn: guest performer on album or club?
desihits: club
babakahn: twista is Sick! Just did event with Trey Songz he was crazy and ladies love the dude! All over him :) lol
desihits: yeah, I just heard Trey Songz's mixtape...incredible...specifically if you're hanging with women!
babakahn: 50cent was wicked controls the crowd well did him last summer...and Pitbull was full of Hype had a party with him in Spring :)
desihits: Couple more here...So besides your own crew, who are your favorite Urban Desi Artists?
babakahn: I just did event with Jay Sean and my guys I am big on performance and base my opinions and what I see and not what I hear... I will start to wrk with more artist once CS2 is complete I look forward to hearing more artist live to give u some real views!
desihits: cool...that's a common issue - what sounds good on CD doesn't always translate in a live show...
babakahn: believe ME! Some Big Artist are so damn bad live OMG!
desihits: Before we get back to our normal lives, we want to know your thoughts/memories on the loss of DJ AM. He def influenced many DJs...
babakahn: I had the honor to play with him and he was truly wicked! I started using Serato cause of tricks he showed me...R.I.P DJ AM

as casual as the whole thing is, its pretty legit. this is a legit dh thing. i havent seen this newhere
haha this is pretty cool seems a lot more real i guess is the world then just some written up article because you see what the person is actually saying and not just some write up about the person very cool plus i loooove baba kahn so it was awesome learning a little more about him!
