Time truly does go by very fast. The UK Asian Music Awards will drop on a TV channel near you on March 5th, which is only about six weeks away! These are the final couple of months left for the planners to have all of the preparations ready for the highly anticipated awards show. So we are also excited to finally get a list of the nominations for the awards ceremony! Some of the most important categories include Best Album, which is where Jay Sean 'My Own Way,' DJ H and Rags 'Reloaded,' Aman Hayer 'Groundshaker 2,' Nitin Sawhney 'London Undersound,' and Jassi Sidhu 'The New Adventures' have all been nominated. For The Best Urban Act category: Shayal ft. Ginuwine, M.I.A, Jay Sean, Raghav, and Kray Twins ft. Vee have been included. And for Best Producer: Aman Hayer 'Groundshaker 2,' Sukshinder Shinder 'Rambo,' Rishi Rich 'Sadke Jawa,' Tigerstyle 'Martyrs and Maharajas,' and PMC 'Indian Timing' received nominations. The awards show promises to be a hot night that will feature some of the hippest and sexiest artists in Asian music today and we can't wait to see them! Other categories that will be presented during the UK Asian Music Awards are Best Act, Best Club DJ, and Best Male & Female Acts. Both Outstanding Achievement and Commitment to Scene are open for voting so get your votes in now if you are interested. We want to wish everyone the best of luck at the ceremony and hope they don't fight too much or cry too much if they don't win!
