Whether it’s through music or fashion, we bring our culture to their doorstep so they can embrace it. And the desire to discover more about Desi culture has drawn some big names in the American music biz to the east.

Next up to get a taste of the Desi lifestyle is international rap sensation T.I. The Grammy Award winning artist wanted to learn more about Indian classical music so we hooked him up with renowned singer Vishal Vaid. Trained in the ancient form of poetry ghazal, Vishal was pleased to introduce his art from to the man behind hits like "Swagga Like Us,"  "Live Your Life" and "Dead and Gone."

Vishal’s performances blend Eastern and Western, ancient and contemporary so what better way to create some sweet fusion music than to get together with a rapper like T.I.? The master of poetry set out to teach T.I.P. all about the harmonium, a reed organ-like instrument that produces a sound similar to that of an accordion. For T.I., learning how to play this ancient instrument was a whole new experience, and he liked it! "I love experiencing new things, it's wonderful to live with your eyes open to other cultures, and since I can't leave the country, you know, you have brought India to me and I appreciate it."
