This is not only an advantage for American mainstream media but it is a comparative advantage for the Desi media. It is a business deal where both sides make money. Realdesi u give us examples about sean kingston and wat not, but do you realize one must take small steps to achieve the highest level. So yes it may look pathetic now but someday it will be more legit than ever. Me being an American, i think its about damn time. I agree with Anita - I have spent my whole life consuming mainstream music and spent my money on the albums and the tours, but never have I felt they cared about me as a consumer. I did when JayZ did beware of the boys and I think that made every desi on the planet proud - so I think in the same way this will make us proud again that we are recognised. If we are going to spend money on these artists then i want them to know who I am. Also the UK desi music scene has been in and out of the mainstream for years but never really got tration or got paid, it was refreshing to see that when desi hits did the sean kingston project they used desi DJ's and now DJ seketu will work with sonyBMG with sean - thats huge! I congratulate desi hits - the rest of them that diss you are haters they wish they had done it! I won't buy any more of warner music than I am already buying but I am glad they care who I am and it will make me feel better about it.

yeah congrats on selling a marketing pitch to WB desihits...but ya'll needs to step their game up...we all watch MTV,bet and what not and most of us know what new music is. To be honest I think it's more of an acheivement for Desihits then for the desi music scene. Realdesi is right, prooting mainstream artists in India doesn't help our scene it only helps Warner artists sell records in India. I honestly don't think seeing mainstream singers doing desi things like speaking in punjabi or eating indian food is going to impress any smart, intellegent South Asians in India or beyond. This is not going to help the West embrace the East.
