It was a mysterious situation which occurred in May 2008, when rapper 50 Cent's 2.4 million dollar home in Dix Hills, NY burned to the ground after a fire spread through the house around four in the morning. As if the rapper didn't have enough drama! His girlfriend at the time, Shaniqua Tompkins accused Fifty for the fire and said he was trying to kill her and their son. Now, over six months later the truth seems to be starting to come out as 50 Cent answers questions for Access Hollywood's TV One Access. He alludes to the fact that he and Shaniqua Tomkins were having major problems and that the courts had just told her she had to vacate the home. 50 Cent had promised to give her the home, but after she broke off their ten year relationship, he rightfully asked her to leave.
Fifty actually did not reside in the home and when he got there, the fire had more or less leveled the house to the ground. When asked directly if Shaniqua Tompkins was responsible for the fire, Fifty seemed to shy away from what he knew saying, "Well, I don't want to say that... don't try to make me say something I don't want to say...but the circumstances to it might seem that way." Whatever the truth is only 50 Cent, Shaniqua Tompkins, and the lawyers involved know the complete truth. One thing is certain, that 50 Cent did have some sort of agreement giving Shaniqua Tompkins the right to half of all of his hip-hop earnings. For someone who is worth in the ballpark of 33 million dollars, who is thirty-two on Forbes Magazine's richest celebrities list, that promises to be a lot of money. Enough that whatever occurred between Fifty and his ex, she and their son will be taken care of no matter what.
