Sona Walia may not have the same star power as Miss Pooja but with tracks like "Akhian Tere Nall" and "Medley" she is making a name for herself on the scene. She won Best Female Debut at the PTC Punjabi Music Awards earlier this year and is making waves with her debut album "Resham Di Dori (Love Strings)."

Biti is off to a good start of becoming the leading lady of Bhangra. This girl has been making moves on the scene for a while. She has worked with producer team Jinx on "Gal Sun," which was dubbed "The Song of 2006" by a local U.K. radio station. Biti’s song "Aaj Nachna Veh" has also been played a number of times on the U.K. soap opera "EastEnders."

RDB singer Nindy Kaur just recently launched her solo career and released the track "Dil Mera Laigiya" as a Diwali gift to her fans. She was once more known as the wife of acclaimed singer and producer Manjeet Ral of RDB, but now she is recognized for her own talent and accolades. One of Nindy’s  songs was featured in the Bollywood film "Aloo Chaat" and she has performed at the Toronto Film Festival.

But will anyone ever be able to push off Miss Pooja from the throne of leading lady of Bhangra? The official Queen of Bhangra has got some rude competition but she is still the most famous songstress in the genre. Not too long ago, Miss Pooja released her single "Kise De Naal Pyar," followed by her album "Romantic Jatt." The song, which was produced by Rishi Rich, is dominating the charts right now.
