October 13 2009 16:00 PST

There are a lot of hot Urban Desi and Bhangra beats coming out of Canada Ay??  From Canadian trios likeThe Bilz and Kashif, to the solo artist who took the UD scene by storm, Raghav, Canadians have definitely been repping the Urban Desi scene lately.  With all the projects that they have recently been working on, we thought we should take some time to recognize these artists. So which Canadian artist on the list below is your favorite?

Raghav

Urban Desi artist Raghav took the world by storm with his debut album "Storyteller" in 2004. With 1.3 million copies sold, Raghav quickly became a global celebrity. The world anticipated what would come next as his singles "My Kind of Girl" and "Humrahee" didn't disappoint. But years went by with no new album.  Well this past August, Raghav's second album "Identity" was released with Universal Music .  The album was well received in India and in only one week on store shelves, “Identity” was the highest new entry in the country’s album chart at # 3!!!

The Bilz and Kashif

There is no denying that these boys have made a name from themselves bringing us one club banger after another.  From "2step Bhangra" to their most recent track, "Against All Odds," The Bilz & Kashif have definitely brought us some catchy and well-fused beats.  With their charming vocalist and flashy videos, the group has no doubt won hearts. They are currently gearing up for the release of their video for their new track , “Against All Odds.”

747 Trio
The 747 Records TrioLomaticc has fused a sexy vibe into his catchy beats that not only enhances his vocals but also compliments Sunny Brown’s Punjabi lyrics. Baba

Kahn created a major buzz with the release of the first ever South Asian mixtape, which featured his boys as well as Fatman Scoop and Kardinal Official.  The trio’s latest tune "Bombay Bo" is definitely a club banger, and they got a major break right here on Desi Hits! when they got to remix Sean Paul’s track "So Fine." Now the boys are about to drop their album “Culture Shock 2” next week.  Will they be able to keep the buzz going?

Roach Killa

Lending his vocals to other artists' tracks and fusing reggae into different genres of music, there is no denying that Roach Killa has built support and created buzz around his new album “The Revoultion.”  The artist is currently in the U.K. making a name for himself with his album that released this past September.

Parichay

This young artist has been creating a buzz in the Canadian scene for a while.  And now that he is signed to India’s Times Music, his music is being heard by a global audience and tracks like “Deewana Tera”  and “Kasam Se” have been well received.

Blitzkrieg

This Canadian rapper’s work has ended up all over the world.  Even the Bollywood film “Love Aaj Kal” featured his track “Just Twist.”  Blitzkrieg continues to make a name for himself.
