Was it a mistake to have Anoop Desai in the top 13 as a wildcard entry? Does Anoop have what it takes to go to the top 12 after last night's performance? Well, the judges didn't think so.

After performing Michael Jackson's "Beat It" last night, Anoop Desai's singing was what Paula Abdul called "untouchable." Paula commented that the song should only be for the original artist. "I don't know, it sounded very karaoke to me," she said. Simon agreed with Paula, but he made some harsh comments by saying that his "singing was horrible. It wasn't exciting and a bit karoakish, yes." Simon also said that it was a really bad personification of Michael Jackson.

Randy Jackson gave his comment by saying that "it was a wrong choice." Randy also thought it was kind of karaoke and "it didn't work for me. The funny thing is that I think you are much better than this." Kara on the other hand didn't feel any connection. "I didn't see any variations. I needed to see some lifts. I felt there was a disconnection because your strength is your connection."

After the judges commented, Ryan asked Simon if it was a mistake to let Anoop into the top 13. Simon regrettably said yes. Anoop Desai in his own terms said that he took the risk in using this song to show an energetic side of him to the audience. He hopes to come back to the stage if he gets in the top 12 tonight.

So, do you agree with the judges? Do you think that Anoop Desai should just "Beat it"? Watch the video below of his performance and tell us your thoughts.
