Southern belle Jessica Simpson has grown up in front of the world’s eyes. Born in Dallas, Texas, Simpson was always a fan of music and impressed many with her powerful voice. After performing at local events alongside recognized Gospel singers, she was spotted by Colombia Records executive Tommy Mattola who was intrigued by her talent. Mattola arranged for her to join the boy band 98 Degrees’ tour.
In 1999 Simpson released her debut album “Sweet Kisses,” which went double-platinum! The single “I Wanna Love You Forever” made it to number 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 list. Jessica Simpson had truly established herself on the music scene and her public love life gained her the star power she needed.
