When an icon from the East collaborates with an icon from the West, a hot fusion track is potentially on its way.  And this may very well be the case as legendary Indian singer Asha Bhosle teams up with the South American rock guitarist Carlos Santana to make music! 

Bhosle, who turns 77 today, is a big fan of the Grammy Award winner's music and she was introduced to his works by her late husband and renowned musician R D Burman. 

Bhosle told reporters, "We are in talks with Santana. I have always wanted to sing with an artiste like him. It will be something new and different. I have experimented with my music a lot and this is going to be a new challenge."

From ghazal to pop, Asha Bhosle has been mastering all genres of music during her six decade long career. Carlos Santana was placed number 15 on Rolling Stone's list of the best guitarist in the world and he has won 10 Grammys. This will surely be quite a collaboration!
