It seems that superstar, Beyonce, is in some legal trouble. Nightclub owner, Joey Morrissey, is suing this songstressfor $1 million for allegedly breaking a contract to perform at his club.

According to Mr. Morrissey, owner of M2 Ultralounge in Manhattan,Beyonce was scheduled to do a mini-concert at his club for $200,000 and backed out at the last minute. The club owner is particularly peeved because he spent over $100,000 to prepare for the performance and meet all of Beyonce's requests. Furthermore, he has sold hundreds of tickets and tables to valued customers who now mistrust the club's once respectable reputation.

Joey Morrissey has said, "They said they were too busy with the launching of the tour and that they wouldn't have time to do the kickoff party. We sold tables for thousands of dollars for the show, and spent $100,000 renting a soundboard and other equipment, as per their stipulations."

Beyonce's people are claiming that they never agreed to a show to begin with. According to their reports, Beyonce was scheduled to host the event, where her sister, Solange Knowles, would be singing. They claim, "Beyoncé never had a contract with the club itself and no one in her camp dealt directly with the venue. The superstar was never scheduled to perform but was to serve as a co-host and introduce singer-songwriter Solange's performance. Patrons were falsely promised a performance by Beyoncé."
