That's right; Bollywood's hottest sex symbol is celebrating her 30th birthday today!  The Bong beauty was born on January 7, 1979 in New Dehli to a Bengali family.  Ever since Bipasha Basu hit Bollywood in 2001 with the film, 'Ajnabee,' she's been labeled the 'sexy girl' of Bollywood, a title that she has no problem with.  With movies like 'Jism,' and 'Raaz' who can argue with that title!  She's often been referred to as India's answer to Angelina Jolie and her equally sexy boyfriend, John Abraham, the Brad Pitt of Bharat.  

She's never been one to shy away from the limelight and is known for brazenly speaking the truth, whether it was about her relationship or her films.  It only added to the dusky beauty's appeal.  Now it seems at 30, she's looking for meatier roles and has even said in the recent past that if she doesn't find a script to her liking she won't do any films.  Her next film is 'Lamhaa' in which she plays a Kashmiri girl, dispelling the myth that all Kashmiri girls are light skinned and light eyed.
