Can Juggy D Survive on One Album?

Bhangra artist Juggy D’s debut album was pretty massive.  He was credited with getting Bhangra to cross-over in the UK, with his feature on the track ‘Dance With You’ with Rishi Rich and Jay Sean.  When he released his self titled album in late 2004, British Asian kids found a new beat to dance to.  His album was full of danceable beats, some traditional and some more contemporary yet, he also had beautiful tracks like, ‘Akheer’ and ‘Meri Jaan.'

Which leads us to the next question, how long can Juggy D ride on the success of one album?  Its four years later and Juggy D is still touring the world with the same album.  In fact, he just went to Australia for a tour where he suffered a serious asthma attack that landed him in the hospital.  However, being the trooper that he is, he stuck it out in the hospital and vowed to continue to the tour.  This wasn’t Juggy D’s first tour of Australia though, he’s been to Australia in the past with the same album, so wouldn’t audiences get tired of hearing the same tracks?  Can Juggy D keep touring the same places and continue to play the same songs without audiences getting anxious for new material?

While Juggy D says he’s working on his new album, ‘Juggy D 2: Punjabi Rockstar,’ he’s been talking about it for quite some time, constantly pushing the release date back.  In fact, the first planned single was supposed to be released months ago, but still hasn’t seen the light of day.  So can Juggy D survive until his new album finally sees the light of day?  Leave us a comment with your thoughts!  Plus check out a little bio of Juggy below as we recently sat down to have a quick chat with the star.

He's a legend for surviving off one album for soo long. But he needs to loose some weight!!! Still can't wait for the album. Could we please get a serious date for the release. The way the dates are changing makes him look like a joke!!

It’s been wayyy tooo long since juggy came out with a song. He needs to release a song whether it is collaborating with someone, like he did with Shin from DCS or a solo song. The hype around his album is slowly dying due to the constant pushing back of his album. In today’s world who hasn't heard of RDB, following the great success of Singh is king. In the states I had hip hop heads ask me about RDB because they heard Snoop on it. Jay Sean is as of now the greatest hope for Uk artist to break the American market due to his signing with CAsh Money REcords. Today’s youth are a lot more aware of UK artists and south Asian artists due to sites like DH. It’s true that there still isn't full exposure to the whole UK scene in the states buts it’s getting there. Bhangra in the states isn’t just some cultural dance that your drunk uncles do at weddings, it’s a movement here! Everyone knows what Bhangra is, or have heard of it. Those days of influence from only bollywood are long gone. In today’s times non south Asians are aware of who Jay sean is.

hey fishifish, stop hating, around the world, these are the people who people know!!! If u go around the states and talk about tigerstyle n RDB n people most of the youth are gunne be like "are u on crack?" but if u mention juggy d, or jay sean they'll be like "yeah i know them". So chill the hell out, dh is slowly working on getting more exposure to the rest of the music world as well! Datz y this is my number one site, cuz they're the first outlet to actually accessing stuff like this! N btw all these people are made to look ordinary in america because get this. THEY ARE UK ARTISTS BASED AROUND THINGS NO YOUTH CARES ABOUT! RnB aint big here in the states. Bhangra's just some cultural dance to most of the youth out here. Itz sad but true! Mostly because there is no exposure to stuff like this!!!!! Jay Sean aint being played on regular radio stations, heck he'z not even played on indian ones! But these people have amazing talent! Rishi Rich would not have picked them up if they sucked! These people have like, zero exposure in the states cuz most of the youth are grown up on bollywood, cuz that's what their parents grew up on. im not kidding there are still indians out here who when u mention jay sean they are like "who jay z". These artists have no exposure in the states and they are the basic ones!!! they are like gateway artists into the world of urban/bhangra music!

DesiHits need to realise there is more to music than juggy d jay sean n h dhami..dont you get bored of talking about these lot when they arent even releasing anything out of the ordinary? Juggy d and h dhami are ordinary in their game. Jay Sean is made to look ordinary in America..its only in the UK that someone like Jay Sean could become a hit. In America they have a vocalist like him in every street. same goes for H Dhami and juggy d...so they dance like prats..they may look good and attract youngsters...but they aint got a voice to be admired for. H Dhami was obviously not paying enough attention when Heera were around

A big talent worked with Rishi on collaborations with International Artists. Rishi should back up Juggy d and Des-C.These guys have talent but they are lost. Jay Sean did find his way.I hope Juggy D concentrates a bit and reaches even higher Goals GOd bless
