Our favorite Sri Lankan-British rapper, M.I.A. looked as though she was about to give birth on stage as she performed a hot duet with T.I., Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Kanye West last Sunday night at the Grammy awards!  In fact the award show was the same day as her due date! 

She was even experiencing labor pains earlier in the day.  Damn, talk about guts!  Thank goodness she didn't have to deliver the baby on stage!  Well now we've learned that the diminutive rapper gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday! 

Congratulations!  This is the first child for M.I.A. who is 31 and her fiancé Benjamin Bronfman who is the son of Warner Music Group CEO, Edgar Bronfman. 

M.I.A. announced the news herself from her hospital bed in her blog which stated:

"HAPPY VALENTINES!
SUNDAY NITE I CAME HOME FROM THE GRAMMY'S STILL IN THE MOOD TO PARTY , I COUDA EASILY GONE OUT BUT I WENT HOME INSEAD , LUCKY I DID!! COZ MY EARLY STAGE LABOUR KICKED IN AROUND 2 AM.
