We always tell you that the world is digging Desi right now and DesiHits! brings you the show to prove it!  We have launched the "Equation" series, a show that offers popular celebrities the opportunity to go Desi. Whether it's through music or fashion, we are happy to bring our culture to their doorstep so celebs can embrace it. Their desire to discover more about Desi culture drew some big names in the American music biz to the east, and as always Desi Hits! was there to give them a taste of our lifestyle. 

From the growing success of all things Desi, global fashion is being influenced by South Asian culture.  So when R&B sensation Cassie wanted to dress up in some sexy sarees and hot lenghas, we were there to answer her fusion prayers!

We hooked her up with Desi designer Alia Khan who put together a variety of outfits for the pop songstress to try on.
So what was it like to work with Cassie? Alia Khan told DesiHits.com that "Cassie was very simple because she is so cooperative and loves Indian fashion. I wanted to design fusion for her. I think she looked amazing and she is very versatile herself."

And the east meets west collab turned out to be a success on both ends as Cassie felt very comfortable in the clothing. "She was blown away by the embroidery and swaroksi. She asked all about it and she loved the jewelry. Everything was new to her because western clothing does not have embellishments like this," Alia Khan told us.
