Don't mess with Culture Shock! Lomaticc, Sunny Brown and Baba Kahn go through anger, denial and all the stages of a breakup in their new video for 'Ex'd Up'!
The Culture Shock trio signed on to DH! Universal last year and ever since have been flying high on success.
In the track, Lomaticc is hurt by a girl and his boy’s producer Baba Kahn, and Punjabi vocalist Sunny Brown have his back with Baba dropping the beats on the track and Sunny lending his Punjabi vocals. The track shows the good and bad sides of a breakup. The video shows the boys bashing the piano and destroying what we assume is memories of Lomaticc's past relationship.
Baba Kahn told DH! exclusively how he felt making this video, "Making the video for exd up was a long process. We wanted to stimulate our fans creatively and push the images on screen to mean more than just being in a club and partying it up. This song is about the raw emotions of a break up from a guys pov. The denial, the anger, the acceptance were all stages we wanted to portray. WE are extremely happy with the final product and glad to see our thoughts on paper come to life."
The opening of the video has this quote, "love is like a book, hopefully you don't end with this chapter." The boys get out of their individual cars looking quite serious ready to take Lomaticc's side on this one as Lomaticc drops his hot vocals.
It's nice to know that these boys will always have each other's backs! The 'Ex'd Up' video will definitely relate to many and we're sure it will be a hit just like the track!
About the track, the boys previously said, "The anticipation for more original Culture Shock tracks since our Blackmarket album has been phenomenal and we are excited to finally be giving EX’D Up to our fans for free”
Culture Shocks' songs are unique and they do an excellent job of adding their own catchy flairs to tracks that they sample. Their skills have been appreciated not only by South Asians worldwide but by artists such as Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.
The boys have been making hits and are sure to be doing much more with their music this year. For now catch this exclusive look at Culture Shock's 'Ex'd Up' video and drop your comments below!
