With her sweet vocals and sultry looks it’s hard to deny that Pop/RnB artist Thara is set to be the next big thing in the music industry. As Thara prepares to release her hot new single and video for ‘Jump On’ featuring Fat Man Scoop, she gave Desi Hits! some exclusive info on the video, her self-titled debut album and record release party.

“It has a dark and sexy, but fun, vibe to it,” describes Thara. The video was shot on November 2nd in New York City all in one long day that lasted from 6:30 am to 12 in the morning! Since ‘Jump On’ is a fast up-tempo track with a lot of energy, naturally the video features Thara along with seven dancers asking you to “come get on the dance-floor.” Thara’s choreographer, Rhapsody James just did Beyonce’s ‘Freak Em’ Dress’ video, so you can just imagine how hot the dance moves are going to be! And of course hip hop star Fat Man Scoop was there to do his thing and show support for his girl Thara.

Thara’s looks are always on the cutting edge of fashion and the video showcases that. You’ll get to see Thara in six different looks, including a water scene where she was decked out in a gorgeous Sherri Hill gown. “I just wanted to look beautiful and sexy and I didn’t feel like I needed to show a lot of skin,” said Thara. Being every bit the fashionista, Thara described the dancers looks as edgy, sexy and high end couture.

Although the video was directed by Eric Wyckoff, who just recently did Ciara’s ‘Promise’ video, Thara was very much a part of the creative process. And the same goes for her album as well. ‘Jump On’ as well as most of her album was produced by J REMY and Bobby Bass of the Orange Factory and features some of the hottest collabo’s of late. The very first track on the album features award-winning RnB artist John Legend and that’s not all… the album also features ‘Tempted to Touch’ singer Rupee and of course Urban Desi star Jay Sean. The album has already been released in Japan on the Avex label. Why Japan? Well Thara has a massive fan base out there, which you can see from the concert footage of her opening up for Ne-Yo. But not to worry, Thara tells us the album will be available on iTunes very soon.

With the album already released in Japan and a worldwide push coming very soon, a hot record release party was bound to happen. It all went down at club Aura in NYC on November 28th, with guests like, Nina Sky, Pitbull, Lil Eddie, Daytona, Rick Ross, Styles P, MTV's Cipha Sounds, American Idol Finalist Jared Cotter and Angie Martinez, the party was packed with Celebs! There was a laid back vibe with many producers and Thara’s dancers in attendance. The privileged guests were treated to a few of the tracks of Thara’s album, and got to see Thara decked out in a navy blue tube dress complete with sequins and silver shoes.

Things are only going to get bigger and better from here as Thara recently made an appearance on massive US TV channel BET’s hip hop and RnB countdown show, 106 & Park and just finished touring the US with Jay Sean, performing their smash duet 'Murder.'

The stage has been set for Thara to take her place at the throne to become the next hip hop and RnB princess.
