Far East Movement Asks 'So What?' in Their New Video

Far East Movement, also known as FM, premiered its new official music video for “So What” off of the Free Wired album today complete with a… cello? Yes, Far East Movement does not mess around when it comes to mixing it up to create an original sound. The band also chose to tribute the Beastie Boys in the video.

Known for bridging the gap between underground party tracks and mainstream hip hop and pop, FM blends elements of hip-hop, pop, electro, and dance to create what they call “Free Wired.” This is not only a sound, but also a way of life that the band promotes through everything they do.

This infectious energy that they carry provided them with the opportunity to go overseas with Lady Gaga for her Monster Ball tour in April 2010. Ever since its early hits, “Girls On The Dance Floor” and “Like A G6,” FM continues to climb the charts of stardom.

So, are you a Beastie Boys fan? Did the tribute appeal to you, and did you catch that cello? Give it a listen, and tell us if you like it (or if you don’t).
